Location
Buckinghamshire is based in the South East of England with Greater London to the south east, Berkshire to the south, Oxfordshire to the west, Northamptonshire to the north, Bedfordshire to the north east and Hertfordshire to the east. The county town is Aylesbury.
Buckinghamshire is divided into four districts: Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, South Bucks, and Wycombe. The largest town in the non-metropolitan county is High Wycombe and the largest metropolitan town is Milton Keynes which is standalone borough that does not come under county council control.
Transport links
There are good rail links to London and many other parts of the country and the M4, M25, and M40 all cross the District. The nearest airports serving Buckinghamshire are London Heathrow Airport to the south east and London Luton to the south.
